JV Success Story: Annette’s journey

The collaboration quickly gained momentum. Two pre-planning applications were submitted to gain early insight from the planning authorities. For those unfamiliar, pre-application advice is a valuable service that allows you to understand how development policies will apply to a project, identify any potential issues, and get guidance from a planning officer before submitting a full planning application.

As a result of this proactive approach, key steps such as securing highway agreements for dropped curbs were completed and approved before the full planning submission. At the same time, a solid legal framework was established, covering the structure of the deal, ownership terms, and a mutually beneficial profit split, all secured under a signed legal agreement.

While this project wasn't a traditional Earn & Learn, the core principles remained the same. Annette retained full ownership of the property, ensuring her investment was secure, while being actively involved in the decision-making process throughout the planning and construction phases. She had the option to dive as deeply into the planning and development process as she wished, making it a truly collaborative effort.
